A note for recruiters: I get a lot of emails that all say the same thing. "Exciting opportunity," "your background is a great fit," same template, different logo. I'm not trying to be difficult, but those just blend together and I probably won't respond.
If you want a reply, tell me something specific. What's the actual problem the team is solving? Why did my background catch your eye versus anyone else's? What's the stack? Even a sentence or two that shows you looked at my site or my work goes a long way. I'm way more likely to respond to a real message from a real person than a polished mail merge.
